In 2017, Humanitarian Response Plans (HRPs) in the MENA region requested US$7.4 billion. The total amount received to date is $3.6 billion (49%), which leaves a shortfall of $3.8 billion (51%).
The Syria Regional Refugee and Resilience Plan (3RP) requested US$5.58 billion. The total amount received to date is $2.59 billion (46%), which leaves a shortfall of $2.99 billion (54%).
Six donor countries/entities in MENA region have contributed $691.8 million and pledged another $40.1 million in 2017 for humanitarian operations in 49 countries, Central Emergency Response Fund (CERF),
United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and World Food Programme (WFP).The CERF has received a donation of US$3.7 million from four countries from the MENA region; Kuwait,
Qatar, Turkey and United Arab Emirates; in 2017.
